The Damnwells get lost
Got a copy of The Damnwells PMR + 1 in the mail yesterday from the fine, fine folks at inmusicwetrust. At the top of the press sheet that came with the CD, it says that The Damnwells recently signed with Lost Highway Records. What?!? How come I'm the last to find out?

(4:15pm -- After originally posting this I found out that The Damnwells DID NOT sign to Lost Highway nor do they plan to. Damn, (oh) well.)

Sha Sha Na
Here is my (shortened) interview with Ben Kweller which can be found in this week's ALIVE. I only had about 800 words to play with. A more fleshed out interview will show up soon on Swizzle-Stick.

Jimmy Eats Kopaz
I just discovered that Columbus rock band Kopaz put up a new MP3 on their site. The song is phenomenal and bares a striking resemblance to older Jimmy Eat World stuff. Check out
"Everpresent Threat" for yourself.

Is it that bad?
It's pretty easy to find just about every new CD out on the Web, available for downloading weeks, sometimes months, before the official release date. The debut album by Kelly Osbourne is nowhere to be found. What this may mean is that her label didn't send out any advance copies to reviewers ... and that's not a good sign. Hey, I'm still interested in hearing it and I'm sure by Christmas I'll find it somewhere for $3 in a used bin.
